Python

Many of the scripts that I use are written in Python. If you plan to use some of those scripts, you will have to install it.

Follow the instructions below to install Python.

Installation

Automatic installation (using the installer script)

1. On the Desktop, open the Trading Files folder
2. Then open the Installers folder
3. Then open the Python folder
4. Launch the Install-Python.cmd script
5. Wait for the black window to finish

Manual installation

1. Obtain install files

1. Open the Python Download page and download the latest version of the installer of Python for Windows
2. Save the installer in the Trading Files folder, in a folder called Executables.
3. Download the registry script Add_PYTHONUNBUFFERED_EnvVar.reg
4. Save the registry script in the Trading Files folder, in a folder called Tools.

2. Install

1. Go on the Desktop
2. Open the folder Trading Files and then open Executables
3. Launch the python-3.X.X-amd64.exe installer

4. Check Add python.exe to PATH
5. Click on Install Now

6. Click on Disable path lenght limit
7. Then click on Close

8. Go back to the folder Trading Files, then to Tools
9. Run the Add_PYTHONUNBUFFERED_EnvVar.reg Registry file

10. In the new window, click on Yes
11. In the new window, click on OK
