Expert Advisor

An Expert Advisor is a program that you load on a chart and that will automatically place orders, based on a specific trading logic.

Load Expert Advisor on the chart

1. Make sure that you have open the right symbol chart
2. Find the Navigator window
3. Expend the Expert Advisors list
4. Select the Expert Advisor to use
5. Drag and drop it onto the chart

6. In the new window that has open, click on Inputs
7. Depending on the Expert Advisor you use, you might be able to change some settings
8. You can also Import and Export the settings using a .ini file
9. Once you have finished to edit the settings, click on OK

10. If the Expert Advisor was able to be loaded, you should see its name on the top-right corner.

Edit Expert Advisor settings

If needed, you can edit the Expert Advisor settings.

1. First, make sure that the Expert Advisor is loaded on the chart
2. Then do a right click in the chart window
3. Select Expert List
4. In the new window, select the name of the Expert Advisor and click on Properties

5. In the new window that has open, click on Inputs
6. Change the settings
7. You can also Import and Export the settings using a .ini file
8. Once you have finished to edit the settings, click on OK

Verify that Expert Advisor is running

Follow the steps below to verify that the Expert Advisor is running.

1. Verify that the Market Watch time is changing, this means that you are connected to the broker. If the time is not changing, it can means that you have a problem with your account, or that the market is currently closed.
2. Verify that Algo Trading is enabled
3. Verify that the Expert Advisor is loaded on the chart
4. Open the Journal tab
5. If you have just loaded the Expert Advisor, you should see a message saying expert XXX loaded successfully
6. You can also open the Experts tab to see if there are any error messages
